The story of Nassoussa Care
Hair, we could spend hours talking about it, looking after it. If mine had to retrace their steps, they wouldn’t know where to start. So many anecdotes, so many hair experiences.
When I was a kid, I remember it was a real pain in the ass. Sitting on the floor between my mother’s legs, trying to tame that opulent, knotted hair. Those hours of crying begging my father to take over because he was softer.
In time it was not much better. Who hasn’t used stratagems to get rid of that cotton fleece? For years, we let ourselves be persuaded that chemicals such as relaxers and other petroleum-based products were the best thing… only to ruin them.
MY HAIR CLEARLY SUFFERED!
Hair culture, especially textured hair, is above all an education and a way of life. Learning to handle it, to protect it, but above all to love it.
I certainly didn’t have to love my hair to have inflicted all this abuse on it. Mostly out of ignorance. Even if you have to suffer to be beautiful, let’s calm down for a minute.
A few years ago, I used to change my haircut according to my moods and desires. Through all these hair transitions, I wanted, like many, to find my identity and have my personality reflected. Then came the nappy happening. Wow, the crazy thing! Leaving my hair natural became possible (permissible and accepted) but with me-tho-do-lo-gy.
A real revolution and the birth of a new state of mind: putting hairpower ✊ in the spotlight with this impulse to go in search of the properties and characteristics of products.
I HAD FOUND MY MISSION
To free myself from this addiction to these poisons, both for my hair and my skin, and to enhance my beauty!
So I went in search of information on the various natural products (butters, vegetable and essential oils) and how to use them. My investigations revealed that Mother Nature was full of treasures at your fingertips.
With this in mind, I had to put all this newly acquired science into practice and create my own products, both for my hair and my body. A succession of experimental failures followed until I found the right combinations, the perfect match!
A love of self

Nassoussa comes from the Soninke, which means to wipe, to apply. In other words, the care to apply what is needed. The desire to restore the taste for self-care with natural products.
Self-love: the best statement of all!
The panel of products proposed is an ode to all the care applied throughout my epic journey.
